Now that the golf season is over in much of the country, it is back to making tee time in Florida. Yes the vacationers and snowbirds are back.  Just in time too because our courses are in great shape and Florida’s weather from October to May is as good as it gets in the US.

All the major golf club manufacturers were all fired up to show off the latest equipment at demo days.  Sally Collins, head golf professional at the beautiful Candler Country Club in Ocala put on a demo day November 8 that left nothing to be desired.  Sally had all the big names with two practice ranges going at once.  A long ball champion and crowd pleaser put on a show to a large audience and had them laughing through out the whole show.

The smell of good food from the outdoor grills was irresistible and to be able to sit out in the sun in November made this day one to remember.

Sally, a top-notch player, teacher and planner left nothing to be desire on this day, and had a large short game area setup with any type of short game shots you would find on the course for Black Magic and their wedges.  Because the demand to try out these easy to use wedges was so high, golfers were standing in line to find a spot available through out the day.  Sally said next year we may need more area for Black Magic because the short game gives so many golfers trouble and it seems Black Magic Wedges are what they are looking for. This was one of the best demo days ever.
